All Kinds of Artificial Turf Repairs

We use only the best artificial grass for our installations. The domestic quality Tencate provides ensures long life and heavy use, but accidents do happen. Other contractors may become careless with their equipment or material handling, heavy sharp objects might get dragged across the turf ripping it, barbeques and firepits burn artificial grass (these are big no-no’s!), or pets may grab hold of inferior quality turf and tear holes in it. Or utility pipes may need to be dug up for repairs.

We’ve pretty much seen it all, and our experience provides the best resource for fixing your synthetic grass. We can assess the damage and help determine whether a patch can be cut out and replaced, or the entire section of turf needs to be lifted and replaced.

We personally install the highest quality of synthetic grass to alleviate minor repairs, but if repairs are needed, you can rest assured the manufacturer will still be in business as well as us, the installer. Unfortunately, many clients call us for repairs because their turf installer no longer is in business (1-3 years average), and the client doesn’t know who the manufacturer is because the turf samples were private labeled ( the manufacturer label was removed and replaced by the installer’s label).

If we didn’t install your synthetic turf, we do keep samples on hand from other manufacturers in case we have to match someone else’s turf. We can come out and hopefully find the closest match. If we can’t match your turf, we may recommend complete replacement. Many times the base will still be good, so all we have to do is remove the old turf and stretch new turf, costing a fraction of what a new installation would be.

If it’s pet turf that needs repair, we will usually replace the top layer of base to help remove base that may have odors. We would then recompact the base, add Zeolite odor control, and install new turf with the proper pet infills.

Usually, pet turf that is torn up by dogs was cheap “pet friendly” turf, not engineered pet turf made by Tencate. Longer bladed grass is not recommended for pet turf because the dogs can grab hold of the turf and tear it up. Also, many companies do not do a proper install at the edges, which allows the dogs to get hold of the edge of the turf and peel it back.
