Types of Artificial Grass

There are many types of synthetic grass, and they all have their own specifications and variations. Helping you choose the best for your project is what matters to us.

Shade – All artificial grass is not simply green. There are darker greens and lighter greens. SOme lean towards olive, and some lean towards a field green. Depending on the shadows and sunlight, you may want to install a brighter green turf. In bright, direct sunlight a more olive or lime colored turf may work better. Ultimately, it is up to your personal taste when you walk out the door and onto your new artificial lawn.

Pile height – the blade of the grass can also make a difference. If you have a high traffic area, you may want to stick with a mid-height pile.  Leave the longer bladed synthetic grass for more ornamental uses. Longer bladed synthetic turf is great to use as borders around a smaller bladed turf, or in areas that you want to look more lush.

Shorter pile height is also used for synthetic playground turf, or pet turf. It makes an excellent choice around pools, areas where the kids play soccer or ride bikes and trikes.

Short pile turf is also a great turf for the elderly to walk on or use a wheelchair.

Traffic – a good artificial grass manufacturer will have various specifications for various traffic. We don’t have our clients pay for a high traffic turf when a less expensive, low traffic turf would look just as good and cost less money. We never oversell!

Use – Synthetic putting greens and artificial pet turf serve two different purposes and therefore are manufacture specifically for those purposes. For smaller pets, there are a few different styles of turf we can use that have permeable backings. 

Color – Maybe you want an orange color, like we install at 76 gas stations? How about white or black? Maybe brick color for baseball baselines? Artificial grass now comes in a variety of colors besides the usual shades of green.

We can also paint baselines or playground lines on our turf to fit your school needs.
